Placenta Encapsulation

Please contact me for more information, or if you are interested in booking my services.

After experiencing baby blues following my first birth and postpartum depression after my second birth, I was willing to try anything to keep those things from happening after I gave birth to my third child in 2011. My midwife encouraged me to try placenta encapsulation, and I am so thankful I did. I had the easiest postpartum and felt so balanced emotionally. I wanted to offer this service to women of the Brazos Valley, and so I certified as a placenta encapsulation specialist through PBi in 2012. I have helped over 50 women in our area have a better postpartum with placenta encapsulation.

As your placenta encapsulation specialist, I will come to your home after the birth of your baby.  In the first visit, I will come to your house and talk with you about your birth, see how you are doing and if you have any questions. I will then prepare your placenta in the Traditional Chinese Method that has been reviewed by the FDA for Placenta Benefits, Ltd., the company I am certified by. I will bring all of the necessary supplies, but will use your sink, stovetop and a little counter space. Cleaning and sanitizing is very important to me and your kitchen will be left as clean as or cleaner than when I arrive. On day two, I will finish the encapsulation process and give you your capsules. I will go over instructions on care and dosage with you and answer any questions you may have.

The benefits of placenta encapsulation are going to be different for every mother, as no two pregnancies/births/babies are alike neither are two placentas alike. Your placenta contains your hormones that your body made just for you, as such; they will be easier for your body to utilize as opposed to synthetic supplements. The hormones help to keep your system in balance while your body returns to its pre-pregnancy state, because of this you will have more energy, less postnatal bleeding, increase your milk supply, replenish depleted iron and help your uterus to return to its pre-pregnancy size.

My fee for this service which includes the encapsulation, supplies and travel for two visits is $200. Please send your $50 deposit ($150 remainder due at time of service) to be “booked” on my calendar for two weeks before and after your estimated due date. Due to gas prices, I charge an extra $50 if I have to travel farther than 25 miles from College Station. If you have any concerns about payment, please do not hesitate to let me know.  I would love to answer any questions you may have. I would be honored meet with you and discuss this process with you at no charge, with the understanding that there is no obligation to book my services.
